Geopoliticus Child Watching the Birth of the New Man by Salvador Dali (1943)

08Geopoliticus Child Watching the Birth of the New Man by Salvador Dali was created in 1943. The work was done with oil on canvas and was created during Dali’s stay in the United States. The painting shifts the focus to the man coming out of the United States section of the “egg” the focus is obtained by the pointing of a finger by a man pointing toward the man’s emergence, also the trail of blood dripping down from the egg adds emphasis. The work uses analogous colors from the yellow, gold, and orange spectrum; with an exception of the red that works to add emphasis to the emerging figure.
